Mon 6th Apr
Arrival
Pick up from airport (Bordeaux or Bergerac) or train Evening dinner to meet and get to know the group.
Tues 7th Apr
Dive into the World of Wine
After a leisurely continental breakfast, we'll have a short intro section into tasting wine, discovering some of the small local producers who make their wines with love and care.
After a shared lunch, we'll have another session where we'll look at what makes wines different from each other.
Finally, a shared dinner prepared by a local traiteur will allow us more social time .
Wed 8th Apr
Discover the Wines of Bordeaux
After another leisurely continental breakfast. We'll have a closer look at the still whites, roses, sparkling and sweet wines that you can find in the Bordeaux region.
After a light lunch with a walk around the local area, we'll return in the late afternoon for a session looking at the red wines that are synonymous with Bordeaux.
Pizza night will let us make and cook our own pizzas together, "Pineapple, anyone?"
Thurs 9th Apr
Montendre market and Visit to St. Emilion
After breakfast, we'll take you to look around the authentic French market in our local town. You can discover the unbelievable array of cheeses as well as super high quality fruit and vegetables that the locals love so much.
After a lunch in the local brasserie, we'll head straight on to St. Emilion where we'll have a visit in a renowned chateau. You'll then have an opportunity to explore the UNESCO world heritage site at your own leisure. After a quick meet up for another tasting in one of the local wine shops, we'll have dinner in the town before heading back to Chatenet.
Fri 10th Apr
Free Day
After breakfast, the day is your own. Lunch and dinner will be provided on site but should you wish to take the opportunity to explore Bordeaux we can provide transport to the local train station.
Sat 11th Apr
Printemps Des Vins - Day 1
After breakfast, we'll take you to the Printemps Des Vins tasting - set in the beautiful Citadel de Blaye. We can introduce you to some of our favourite wine producers and you'll be able to taste a huge variety of wines from across the area, lunch provided from one of the many stalls. Best news is that we're driving!
After we'll return back and get a chance to discuss the great finds of the day over a fantastic meal at Chez Loic in Jonzac.
Sun 12th Apr
Printemps Des Vins - Day 2
After breakfast, we'll take you back to the Printemps Des Vins tasting - you'll be able to carry on tasting from the variety of wines from across the Blaye appellation.
After we'll return back and get a chance to discuss your week over a gourmet dinner prepared by one of the local traiteur chefs.
Mon 13th Apr
Return Home
After breakfast, we'll sadly have to take you back to the airport or train station and bid you all a fond farewell.
