One of the great joys of discovering wine is finding the people and places behind it. People whose passion, resilience and connection to the land create something truly special in every bottle.
“Great wine requires a mad man to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, a lucid poet to make it, and a lover to drink it.”
— Salvador Dalí
Château Moulin Rouge
We love the wines Geoffrey and his family make at Moulin Rouge, classic Bordeaux reds with character, elegance and a real sense of place. The natural vintage variation means their wines are never boring, develop beautifully with age and enjoyed by many of our guests - why not taste them with us?
13 Generations of Passion
13 generations, one family and a remarkable connection to the land. Today, the next generation is building on that heritage while bringing new ideas to the domaine.
The Médoc Terroir
Set in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, between the famous Margaux and Saint-Julien appellations, the estate benefits from sun-drenched gravelly soils influenced by the nearby Gironde estuary.
A remarkable terroir for Cabernet and Merlot and a great place to discover Bordeaux wine.
Tradition in the Vineyard
The estate's vines average around 45 years old, with traditional practices still at the heart of the domaine.
The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful attention to the vines and fruit before they reach the cellar.
Tradition Meets the Future
The next generation is committed to preserving the estate's heritage while making the domaine more sustainable.
Château du Moulin Rouge has achieved HVE Level 3 certification, recognising its commitment to a more responsible approach to viticulture.
